As the winter chill settles over western Oklahoma and across our communities, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the values that make this place so special—family, service, and connection. For Gavan Byrd, his commitment to his family and community is at the heart of everything he does.

My wife and I were both born and raised in western Oklahoma and love raising our family in Weatherford. We stay very busy with our church and chasing around our three kids to ballgames, musicals, school functions and many other things. I coach many of our kids teams throughout the year. I'm an active member and board member in the Kiwanis Club in town that directly benefits the kids of Weatherford. As a family we enjoy traveling, going to the lake in the summer and supporting the SWOSU Bulldogs and Weatherford Eagles throughout the school year.

I've been a State Farm Agent since 2013. In our agency we focus on helping area residents of Weatherford, Thomas, Hydro, Hinton and others with auto insurance, homeowners insurance, renters insurance, life insurance and health insurance.
